Psychological Care for Children and Adolescents

At Emotiv we believe in psychotherapy as a fundamental tool to know yourself better and learn to take care of yourself.

Psychological attention
for children and
Teenagers

At Emotiv, we analyze the situation together with the parents to try to understand what is happening and from here give the best approach to the difficulty.

Sometimes, they are simple evolutionary changes that have to happen and that are part of the child's natural growth process. Other times excessive or unexpected suffering occurs.

This suffering can be reflected in them in the form of symptoms or behaviors in which we detect that they are not feeling well, that they react in a different way than usual.

Anxiety

Blockages caused during childhood and adolescence may be due to specific or evolutionary changes that can be resolved without further intervention.

If repetitive episodes of nervousness, agitation, insomnia, palpitations or others occur, an anxiety episode may be occurring.

If this continues for a prolonged period of time and causes the child/adolescent to block their usual activities, contact us.

Depression

Sadness, apathy, tendency to isolation, as well as lack of energy. They are symptoms that can occur punctually. If these symptoms occur habitually or chronically, it is advisable to ask for help. If you have questions, contact us.

School Difficulties - Bullying

Sometimes there are some integration and adaptation difficulties in relationships at school or in social relationships that can affect and block, generating anguish and internal conflict.

If this occurs repeatedly and constantly, it can undermine the self-esteem of the child or adolescent.

It is important to help the child recognize these situations, and also to provide them with the necessary tools to understand the problem and be able to solve it using their resources.

Attention problems

Some children experience episodes of lack of concentration, restlessness or agitation throughout childhood. These attention problems may be adaptive to some change that is occurring in the family or school environment.

However, if these episodes lengthen and worsen, causing an impact on the child's daily activities, contact us.

Sexuality

During childhood and adolescence, some doubts about sexual inclination and identity are raised and resolved. Sometimes the child/adolescent may experience confusion and go through this phase with some anxiety that they cannot resolve alone.
