About me
My name is Rocío Marín and I am the Founder and Director of the Emotiv Project.
The Emotiv logo emerged from a conversation in which my children, in their eagerness to help me design it and give it an explanation, decided that psychology was symbolized by a cloud and a heart. “The cloud is the thought, emotion and attitude of a person, the heart guides us, Psychology is all that together, mom.”

My vision of emotional health is fundamentally focused on bringing psychological care to all the people who need it. Free of stigma, where the person feels safe and establishes a relationship of closeness and trust with me.

Emotiv, in addition to a health center located in Chamartín, is also a broader project dedicated to the emotional health and well-being of people, it is the result of more than 18 years of experience in the field of human emotions in different environments.
In addition to our patients as the fundamental focus of our project, we also offer services to institutions and companies that need to reinforce the emotional health of their employees in different formats such as mentoring and training, as well as group coaching and “soft skills” sessions for Directors and employees.
At a corporate level our mission is to improve the emotional well-being of people on an individual level, as well as in their interaction with teams, thus impacting their growth and professional success.
Our center is made up of Psychologists specialized in different methodologies: psychodynamic, humanistic, integrative, cognitive behavioral and EMDR. We also have a team with training in certified Coaching and Mindfulness for both children and adults.
As a Child Psychotherapist at the Brussels University Hospital, where I discovered my passion for helping others through psychotherapy. Later, I moved to London, where I continued my work, this time in a psychiatric hospital in the heart of Candem Town, immersing myself in the cultural wealth of the city and combining my mission with my other passions, theater and dance, as an assistant at the Royal Albert Hall. I finished this stage with an international collaboration project in India to support the Dalit minority in the Tamil Nadu region.
My career took a turn when I decided to venture into the world of Human Resources consulting first in Madrid and then in Barcelona. Here, I discovered my ability to apply psychology knowledge in business environments by learning in a competitive environment and even briefly entering the world of Headhunting. Next, I wanted to continue developing in different positions within leading companies in the pharmaceutical world (Novo Nordisk) and e-commerce (Amazon).
I had the opportunity to participate in strategic projects at a global level where I was involved in leadership, team and talent management projects of companies.
I never lost my passion for psychology and psychotherapy, so, despite continuing in corporate environments, I was still curious to learn and I continued to retrain… to one day take the leap. In this way, while working at Amazon, I first completed a 3-year Postgraduate Degree in Sepypna (Spanish Society of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Psychiatry) to later finish the studies that completed my certification by the International Coaching Federation, in addition to completing my studies at the European Institute of Perinatal Mental Health (IESMP). I had finished updating myself, and in some way the circle of all the formations in the different psychic stages of the person was closed. It seemed like I was ready to start my project 🙂
Throughout this time, and looking back, my story reflects the commitment that I have always had in mind with emotional well-being, personal growth and professional excellence, with each of the stages of this intense journey being an exciting adventure with a clear focus on Help people, teams and organizations live better.
